Healing the American Body Politic

Our Mission

Inspiring all Americans to courageously embrace and champion our living legacy of liberty.

Call to Liberty is a new organization dedicated to improving the political dialogue in America. Our flagship publication, Call to Liberty: Bridging the Divide Between Liberals and Conservatives, lays out the main ideas on which this effort is based. Written by Anthony Signorelli, it provides a basis for understanding our liberal heritage and creating a bridge between people advocating progressive, moderate, and conservative ideas, each of which is essential to a vibrant liberal democracy.

We Need You

Call to Liberty is helping to establish discussion groups, book clubs, and online forums. Volunteers are identifying new speaking engagements for Anthony Signorelli. We are looking for additional volunteers to help us get OpEd pieces published in local papers, organize a book club, or participate in leadership groups that will help to shape and form workbooks and other products. Citizen writers can also contribute to our online magazine. You can read it by clicking on Guest Articles at left.

Anthony Signorelli started as a concerned citizen and businessman. But his concern over the state of American Democracy grew as he applied a systems approach to understanding what was going wrong in America. To really understand the problems, he built on expertise developed years ago but left dormant, in American history, intellectual and cultural history, democratic principles, and election systems. Anthony now speaks on these and related topics in churches, academic institutions, corporations, political party gatherings, and civic organizations.

Anthony Signorelli lives with his family near Stillwater, Minnesota. Since graduating with honors from the University of Minnesota he has enjoyed nothing better than a healthy political debate and his first book, Call to Liberty, reflects his lifelong willingness to look objectively at the hard issues. Signorelli is a workflow process consultant, and his company also provides instructional design and technical writing services. Signorelli has also operated the web site www.thoughtfulpolitics.com, where he posted political editorials. His editorials can now be found on his blog at www.calltoliberty.net. He also regularly speaks on issues relevant to the healing of the national body politic.

She has been a veteran of national political campaigns for many years, and until very recently, a regional coordinator for MoveOn.org Political Action. She is thrilled to be working for Call To Liberty, as the national director, and with the Center For Thoughtful Democracy, perfect matches for her interests and passion. Other big areas of interest are human rights, social justice, world affairs, the effects of trauma (specifically war and torture) on children, and neurobiology.
